Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. REGION 7981 (S12E70) IS THE LIKELY RETURN OF THE SUNSPOT GROUP
THAT PRODUCED AN X-CLASS FLARE ON 09 JULY. A FEW MATURE SPOTS
AND AN ASSOCIATED ACTIVE PROMINENCE ARE VISIBLE THERE. LIMB
PROXIMITY PROHIBITS A BETTER ANALYSIS. REGION 7980 (N10W15)
DECAYED TO A SPOTLESS PLAGE.
