Bulletin

Solar flaring activity was restricted to B-class flares from NOAA 2528. The other two sunspot regions were quiet. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections were observed.

Quiet flaring conditions are expected, with a small chance on a C-class flare.

Solar wind speed decreased from 430 km/s to 380 km/s, with Bz varying between -5 and +5 nT. Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions were observed, with an active episode during the 21-24UT interval.

Mostly quiet to active conditions are expected in response to the anticipated arrival of the solar wind stream from a negative coronal hole later today or tomorrow. A minor storming episode is not excluded.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 042, based on 19 stations.
