Solar activity was very low. No C flares were observed in the past 24 hours. Solar activity is expected to remain very low (no C flaring) for the next 24 hours. A filament eruption was observed in AIA 304 Angstrom images around 11h UT on November 10 near the Southeast limb. LASCO C2 and COR2 A images showed an associated CME, which due to its geometry is not expected to be geoeffective. Solar wind speed registered by DSCOVR jumped from about 360 km/s to about 430 km/s at 16:40 UT on November 10, with current levels around 475 km/s. In the past 24 hours, the magnitude of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) gradually rose from about 10 to 15 nT, and gradually decreased again to current levels of about 9 nT. Quiet to minor geomagnetic storm conditions (K Dourbes between 1 and 5; NOAA Kp between 2 and 5) were registered in the past 24 hours, with active to minor storm levels (K Dourbes = 4 to 5) from 16h to 20h UT on November 10. Active to minor storm conditions (K Dourbes = 4 to 5) are possible on November 11 and 12, with a slight chance for moderate storm conditions (K Dourbes = 6) due to the expected arrival of a negative coronal hole high speed stream. Active conditions (K Dourbes = 4) are possible on November 13, with a slight chance for minor storm conditions (K Dourbes = 5).
