The solar activity has been quiet over the past 24 hours. The visible solar disc is spotless and the X-ray flux is below B-level. The solar activity is expected to remain at low levels over the next 24 hours.
No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) was observed in the available coronagraph imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux exceeded 1000 pfu threshold on April 02, between 17:15 UTC and 17:40 UTC. It is expected to remain mainly below the 000 pfu threshold during the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at nominal levels in the last 24 hours and is expected to stay at normal levels for the next 24 hours.
The solar wind parameters (ACE and DSCOVR) were mostly at nominal levels over the past 24 hours: The solar wind speed ranged between 303 km/s and 387 km/s . The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude remained below 4 nT, and Bz components varied between -2.7 nT and 2.5 nT. The high-speed streams associated with the equatorial coronal hole (positive magnetic polarity and facing Earth on April 3) is expected to enhance the solar wind conditions near Earth later on April 5-6.
Geomagnetic conditions were quiet (Kp and K-Dourbes: 0-2). Quiet conditions are expected for the next 24-hour period. Then unsettled conditions with possible periods of active conditions are expected later on April 5-6, due to the expected influence of the high-speed streams associated with the equatorial coronal hole (facing Earth on April 3).
