Päikese aktiivsed piirkonnad ja pursked

Solar flaring activity was moderate over the past 24 hours, with several M-class flares observed. A total of six numbered sunspot groups were identified on the disk during this period. SIDC Sunspot Group 288 (NOAA Active Region 3889), currently located at S10E28, has a Beta-Gamma-Delta magnetic configuration and was the most active over the past 24 hours. It produced the largest flare, an M9.4 (SIDC Flare 2575) peaking on November 10 at 12:06 UTC, along with other M-class flares, including the second largest, an M4.9 flare (SIDC Flare 2572) peaking on November 10 at 20:21 UTC. SIDC Sunspot Group 311 (NOAA Active Region 3890), currently located at S12W13, has a Beta magnetic configuration and has been decreasing in activity over the past 24 hours; nevertheless, it also produced an M1.4 flare (SIDC Flare 2582) peaking on November 11 at 05:43 UTC. Solar flaring activity is expected to remain moderate over the next 24 hours, with continued M-class flares and a slight chance of an X-class flare.

Krooniaine massiline väljavool

A significant number of large filaments are currently facing Earth. So far, the filaments remain stable, and no Earth- directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been detected in the available coronagraph imagery over the past 24 hours.

Krooniauk

SIDC Coronal Hole 60, which first reached the central meridian on 2024-09-10, continues to transition across the central meridian. The high-speed stream associated with this positive-polarity, mid-latitude northern coronal hole is expected to impact Earth on November 12. The small equatorial SIDC Coronal Hole 76, which first reached the central meridian on 2024-11-05, is currently in a geoeffective location.

Päikesetuul

Over the past 24 hours, solar wind parameters were influenced by an interplanetary coronal mass ejection that arrive yesterday. The total interplanetary magnetic field was elevated, reaching a maximum value of 13 nT. Its southward component, Bz, reached up to -11 nT. The solar wind speed remained somewhat stable, varying between 335 km/s and 471 km/s. Solar wind conditions are expected to remain enhanced over the next 24 hours due to the combined arrival of the high-speed stream associated with the positive- polarity, mid-latitude northern coronal hole (SIDC Coronal Hole 60) on November 12 and the high-speed stream from the small equatorial SIDC Coronal Hole 76, which first reached the central meridian on 2024-11-05 and is currently in a geoeffective location.

Geomagnetism

Geomagnetic conditions over the past 24 hours reached moderate storm levels observed locally (K BEL 5), and minor storm levels were observed globally (NOAA Kp 6) in response to the enhanced solar wind parameters and the southward component, Bz, being negative for extended periods and reaching values up to -11 nT. Geomagnetic storm conditions are expected to remain active for the next 24 hours due to the combined arrival of the high-speed streams from the mid-latitude northern coronal hole and the equatorial coronal hole.

Prootoni voo tasemed

The greater than 10 MeV GOES proton flux remained below the 10 pfu threshold over the past 24 hours. It is expected to stay below this threshold level over the next 24 hours. However, due to the enhanced solar and flaring activity, a slight chance of an increase cannot be excluded.

Elektronivoog geostatsionaarsel orbiidil

The greater than 2 MeV electron flux measured by GOES 16 was below the 1000 pfu threshold and is expected to remain so in the upcoming days. The 24h electron fluence was at nominal level and is expected to remain so in the next days.
