Solar flaring activity remains low and the solar wind is quiet. Two filament eruptions were observed on the east side on the solar disk yesterday. SDO/AIA images show a filament erupting in the southeast around 06:00 UT and one in the northeast around 16:30 UT. The CACTus halo CME alert sent at 07:26 UT today concerned the associated CMEs. While the second CME was not earth-directed, we expect a possible glancing blow from the first one early on February 3. Geomagnetic conditions are very quiet. We expect possible unsettled to active conditions (K <= 4) on February 3 due to the possible arrival of the CME mentioned above and a coronal hole that may become geo-effective. The SIDC All Quiet alert remains valid for now.
