Bulletin

Solar activity was very low with X-ray flux remaining below C level with just a single minor B1.5 flare observed. NOAA region 2610 has decreased in size, while a new unipolar group which rotated on disk in the East has been numbered NOAA 2611. There is only a small chance for C-flares over the next days. Proton flux values were at background levels and expected to remain so. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed in coronagraph data.

Solar wind conditions were nominal, with solar wind speed decreasing below 400 km/s to around 360 km/s and total magnetic field was around the 3-4nT range. Bz was variable and the phi angle was in the negative sector. Solar wind conditions are expected to be nominal until later today or early tomorrow when an increase in solar wind speed can be expected under the influence of an equatorial positive polarity coronal hole.

Geomagnetic conditions were quiet (both local K Dourbes and NOAA Kp 0-2) and are expected to become quiet to unsettled with active periods possible under the expected solar wind increase by the equatorial coronal hole.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 031, based on 13 stations.
