Bulletin

Solar activity remains to be low with no C-class flares and only one B-class flare reported during last 24 hours. The B7.2 flare, peaked at 20:25 UT on April 25, originated from the NOAA AR 2651. We expect occasional B-class flares and possibly, but not very probably, isolated low C-class flare in the coming hours. Newly arrived data indicate that the angular width of the CME, associated with the filament eruption observed on April 24 at about 02:00 UT, was about 120 degrees. However, since the bulk of the CME mass was directed mostly northward of the Sun-Earth line it is very improbable that this CME will arrive at the Earth. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed and the solar protons remained at background level in the past 24 hours.

The Earth is still inside the fast solar wind, but the solar wind speed continues to decrease and it presently amounts 530 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is stable, having value of about 5nT. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet to unsettled we expect them to stay so in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 040, based on 19 stations.
