Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been low. No significant flares have been recorded. No Active Regions (AR) are present on the disk, however a small bipolar region has emerged in the western hemisphere N15W60. No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. The greater than 10MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. A low latitude coronal hole is currently located in the western hemisphere. Solar activity is expected to remain low over the next 24 hours with a low probability of C-class flares. The solar wind speed has fluctuated between 310 and 375 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has fluctuated between 2.0 nT and 6.0 nT. The Bz component has fluctuated around 0 between -3.0 and +3.0 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 0-1 (NOAA) over the past 24 hours. A low latitude negative polarity northern polar coronal hole passed the central meridian a couple of days ago but has caused no appreciable increase in solar wind speed, however it may enhance geomagnetic conditions over the next couple of days.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 25 stations.
