Over the past 24 hours solar activity was very low with only a single B1.5 flare peaking at 08:47 UT from Catania sunspot group 89. This is the only spotted region on the visible disk. The greater than 10MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. No Earth directed CMEs were detected. The flaring conditions are expected to be quiet for the next 24-hour period with a small chance of C-class flare. The solar wind speed has fluctuated between 495 and 360 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has fluctuated between 2.5 and 5 nT. Bz component has fluctuated between -3.1 and +4 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 0-1 (NOAA) and local K index 0-3 (Dourbes) over the past 24 hours. The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly at quiet levels today and tomorrow.
