Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. The dynamic filament, now located near N15W20, has grown to a length of about 20 degrees. No earth- directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been observed over the last 24 hours. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values. A negative polarity equatorial coronal hole has started its transit of the central meridian.

Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

The earth environment remained under the influence of the wind stream from the positive polarity coronal hole (CH). Solar wind speed was fairly steady, varying mostly between 440 and 470 km/s with a 1-hour high near 500 km/s shortly after midnight (DSCOVR). Bz oscillated between -5 and +6 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field was directed away from the Sun (positive sector) until 06UT, moving into a negative sector afterwards. Geomagnetic activity was at quiet to unsettled levels.

Mostly quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions are expected, with a waning chance on an isolated active episode.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 13 stations.
