Bulletin

Solar flaring activity was at very low levels. No significant flares have been recorded. Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraphic imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is enhanced (briefly crossing the event threshold of 1000 pfu between 14:30 and 19:30 Mar 24). It is expected to remain enhanced on Mar 25 and then to slowly return to nominal values.

The solar wind speed near Earth showed a generally decreasing trend with values ranging between 370 and 460 km/s (DSCOVR) over the past 24 hours. The Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) was predominantly oriented towards the Sun (phi angle in the negative sector) and its magnitude varied between 2 and 6 nT. Bz ranged between -4 and +5 nT. Background solar wind conditions are expected for the next 24 hours.

Quiet geomagnetic conditions were registered for the past 24 hours (K Dourbes and NOAA Kp recorded values of between 0 and 2). Mostly quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected on March 25 to 27.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 26 stations.
