Active Region NOAA 2765 produced no B or brighter flares in the past 24 hours, it is now rotating over the western limb. No C-class flares are expected.
No Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours.
Solar wind speed near Earth has remained at around 320 km/s yesterday. The Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) was oriented away from the Sun, and its magnitude varied between about 3 and 5 nT. The situation changed around 08:00 UT today, when data from DSCOVR (and ACE) showed a switch of the IMF polarity, from positive to negative (towards the Sun), most likely corresponding to a sector boundary crossing, in front of an expected high speed solar wind stream. Furthermore, the plasma parameters in DSCOVR show a steep increase in speed (to about 470 km/s) with a drop in temperature, which could be signatures of the arrival of the CME from June 12. Nevertheless, ACE does not show these changes, and the data from both spacecraft are marked as suspicious (due to the low density values), as more data comes in we will make an assessment of the situation (there is so far no geomagnetic impact).
Quiet geomagnetic conditions (K Dourbes between 0 and 2; NOAA Kp between 0 and 1) were registered in the past 24 hours. Unsettled to active periods can be expected in the coming 48 hours due to high speed solar wind effects (and the possible arrival of the CME from June 12).
