Bulletin

Solar flaring activity was at very low levels. No significant flares have been recorded. Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

A faint Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) was registered by Cactus on June 21 3:28UT seeming to have originated from the North West of the Sun. Due to fact the solar wind is in the slow regime some enhancements could be expected from June 26th.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux and the greater than 2 MeV electron flux were at background levels the past 24 hours. They are expected to remain so in the next 24 hours.

The solar wind speed near Earth oscillated between the values of 290 to 325 km/s (DSCOVR). The Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) was predominantly oriented towards the Sun (phi angle in the negative sector). Bz varied between -4 and +4 nT. The magnitude of the magnetic field varied between 2 and 5 nT. For the next 24 hours the solar wind speed is expected to remain at quiet levels.

Quiet geomagnetic conditions were registered for the past 24 hours (K Dourbes recorded values 0-2 and NOAA Kp =1). Quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected for the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 25 stations.
