The x-ray flux has remained at the A level in the past 24 hours, no flares observed, the situation is not expected to change for the next 24 hours.
No Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux passed slightly the 10^3 pfu threshold at 15:30 UT on 24 September, at 21:35 UT it came back to nominal levels but stayed very close to the limit. At 10:30 UT today it went above the threshold again, these flux enhancements are expected to remain present for the next 48 hours.
Solar wind speed near Earth as registered by DSCOVR ranged between 450 and 530 km/s in the past 24 hours. The Interplanetary Magnetic Field is directed away from the Sun (positive). It had a magnitude between 3 and 6 nT. Bz reached -6 nT.
Geomagnetic conditions have ranged from 0 to 4 both locally and at planetary levels. The Earth is still inside the relatively fast solar wind from a coronal hole. The solar wind speed may still go up in the next 48 hours, since the shape of the coronal hole is irregular. Mostly unsettled to active conditions expected (with possible isolated minor storm periods).
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 005, based on 17 stations.
