Bulletin

The solar activity was at very low levels with no significant flares recorded. The solar disk remains spotless and no significant flares are expected over the next 24 hours.

No Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraph imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was continuously recorded above the 10^3 pfu threshold over the past 24 hours and is currently greater than 10^4 pfu. The electron flux is expected to remain elevated over the next 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours the solar wind conditions were slightly enhanced under the waning influence of the high-speed stream. The total interplanetary magnetic field, as recorded by ACE and DSCOVR, varied between 1.6 nT and 4.6 nT with a north-south component fluctuating in the range of -4 nT and 4 nT. In the past 24 hours the solar wind speed declined from initially 640 km/s down to 507 km/s. The solar wind conditions are expected to gradually return to background levels over the next 24 hours.

The geomagnetic conditions over the past 24 hours were mostly quiet to unsettled with isolated active periods. The maximum recorded value for Kp and K Dourbes indices is 4. Mostly quiet to unsettled conditions are expected for the next 24 hours with possible isolated active periods.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 13 stations.
