Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours Catania region 7 (NOAA AR 12833) was the source of a C1.7 flare and has now rotated off disk. The northern and southern plage regions as well as Catania region 8 (NOAA 2835-Beta) are present on the eastern hemisphere. The solar activity is expected to remain at low levels, with a small change of C class flares over the next 24 hours.

Two coronal mass ejections have been detected by Cactus on Jun 25 03:24UT and 14:12UT that seem associated with the Catania region 7. The likelihood of Earth impact is low.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is decreasing to nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to be about those levels during the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at normal levels in the last 24 hours and is expected to stay at normal levels for the next 24 hours.

The solar wind speed fluctuated between 355 and 425 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength had values between 2 and 5 nT,while its Bz component varied between -4 and 4 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field phi angle was predominantly on the positive sector (directed away from the Sun). Over the next 24 hours, solar wind conditions can be expected to remain at about those levels.

Geomagnetic conditions were at quiet to unsettled levels (NOAA Kp 0-2 and K Dourbes 0-3) over the past 24 hours. They are expected to remain at about those levels over the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 018, based on 14 stations.
