Bulletin

Two active regions visible on the Sun (alpha magnetic field configuration). There have been no C-class flares in the past 24 hours, no changes are expected in the next 24 hours

No Earth directed CMEs have been observed in coronagraph data.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and may reach moderate levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron fluence was at normal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at normal levels in the next 24 hours.

The Earth is still under the influence of a high speed stream from a negative polarity coronal hole, the solar wind speed as registered by DSCOVR is around 590 km/s. The Interplanetary Magnetic Field near Earth (IMF) was oriented towards the Sun and its magnitude is about 2 nT. There were no extended intervals with Bz below -5 nT. A decrease in solar wind speed is expected for the next 24 hours.

Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions (K-BEL and Kp between 1 and 3) were registered in the past 24 hours. Similar conditions are expected for the next 24 hours, with active periods possible.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 022, based on 16 stations.
