Bulletin

The solar activity was at low levels over the past 24 hours. The sun was spotless and the X-ray flux was below B-level. The solar activity is expected to remain at low levels for the next 24 hours since no sunspots is visible on the disc.

No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been identified in available coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values.

The hight speed streams from the south polar coronal hole continued to slightly influence the solar wind environment near Earth. The solar wind parameters show a mostly ambient background and slow solar wind speed regime with minor enhancement: the solar wind speed ranged between 310 km/s and 380 km/s, the total interplanetary magnetic field peaked up to 9.5 nT, and the southward component fluctuating between -5 nT and 7 nT. The solar wind environment is expected to remain mostly in the slow wind speed regime with minor enhancements due to the influence of the south polar coronal hole hight speed streams.

The geomagnetic conditions were quiet with few periods of unsettled condition observed by Dourbes station (K-Dourbes = 3). We expect the geomagnetic conditions to remain mostly quiet wit possible periods of unsettled condition.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 22 stations.
