There are five active regions present on the disk, with a small region emerged on SW. Region 2936 has rotated off disk. Solar activity was low over the past 24 hours. Over the next 24 hours, C-class flares can be expected.
A Coronal Mass Ejection detected by Cactus on Feb 06 05:00UT is associated with a filament eruption and a dimming on SW. More will be reported but it is currently not expected to be Earth directed. A B8-class flare and a filament eruption occued in AR 2941, on Feb 06 08:38UT. This was followed by a filament eruption on SE on 09:54UT. The phenomenon caused a dimming, starting on on Feb 06 08:24UT.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was above the 1000 pfu alert threshold, due to enhanced conditions. It is expected to be above threshold in the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at moderate levels and is expected to be at moderate levels during the next period. Over the past 24 hours, the solar wind conditions are still under the impact of expected high speed streams. The total magnetic field values ranged from 3 to 7 nT. Its southward component Bz had values between -5 and +6 nT. The solar wind speed had values from 530 to 640 km/s.. The interplanetary magnetic field phi angle was predominantly in the negative sector (directed towards the Sun). Over the next 24 hours we expect the solar wind conditions to remain enhanced before returning to background levels.
Over the past 24 hours, we had quiet to unsettled conditions, with an active period Feb 06 00:00 to 03:00UT. Quiet to unsettled conditions can be expected over next 24 hours, with a small chance of isolated active periods.
