Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

PROTONS AT ENERGIES OF GREATER THAN 10 MEV HAVE BEEN ENHANCED SINCE APPROXIMATELY 09/1200 UT. FLUX LEVELS APPROACHED 10 PFU AFTER 2000 UT BUT PROTON EVENT CRITERIA WERE NOT MET.

THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD WAS QUIET TO UNSETTLED.

ORIGINATED FROM BEHIND THE WEST LIMB NEAR THE LOCATION OF DEPARTED
REGION 8210, THEN NEAR S15W98.
