Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD WAS QUIET TO UNSETTLED AT ALL LATITUDES THROUGH 22/0400UT. MIDDLE LATITUDE FIELD ACTIVITY DECLINED TO QUIET LEVELS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY. HIGH LATITUDE FIELD ACTIVITY WAS MOSTLY QUIET DURING 22/0500-1400UT, THEN INCREASED DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE PERIOD WITH UNSETTLED TO ACTIVE LEVELS DETECTED.
