Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

B. Proton Events
The greater than 10 MeV proton event that began at 22/2320 UTC, remained in progress (flux at 17 pfu) at the time of bulletin issue (peak flux was 18900 pfu at 24/0555 UTC). The polar cap absorption event ended at 26/0730 UTC.
C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary
The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels.
