Solar activity report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

Solar activity has been very low. Region 1027 (N24W34) is a single spot alpha group today. No flares were observed during the past 24 hours.

Solar activity is expected to be very low.
IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 26-2100Z to 27-2100Z
The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels. An isolated period of active conditions was observed at mid-latitudes at 27/1200Z.

The geomagnetic field is expected to be predominantly quiet for the next three days (28-30 September).
