There are currently 9 AR on the solar disk as counted by Catania. (6 AR counted by NOAA). Solar activity was low featering one long duration C2.2 flare peaking at 10:51 UT. Solar activity is expected to rise slightly due to the upcoming Catania AR 95 (NOAA 11678) Which also seemed the source of the long duration flare. Geomagnetic activity was quiet to moderate and is expected to remain so for the next 48 hours. Moderate activity is possible due to the arrival of the CME of February 15th.
