Solar activity has been eruptive featuring several C-class flares in the last 24 hours. It is expected to remain so for the next 24 hours, although AR NOAA 1755 and 1756 have a possibility in producing a M-class flare. Proton levels have just dropped below the 10.0 pfu treshold for the 10 MeV particles. Geomagnetic activity has reached storm levels (K=5) around 18:00 UT on May 24th. Presumably this was related to the CME of May 22d. Geomagnetic activity is expected to be quiet for the next 48 hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 080, based on 16 stations.
