Five sunspot groups are visible at the front side of the disk. Flaring activity was limited to six B-class flares. The sunspot groups were relatively stable. The CME mentioned in the last bulletin was a backsided event and is as such not-Earth bound. No Earth-directed CMEs are observed. C-class flares can be expected for the next 48 hours. Solar wind speed, measured by ACE, has increased to 350 km/s. The magnitude of the interplanetary magnetic field remains near 10 nT, and the vertical component varied between -10 and +8 nT. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to active (local K at Dourbes and global NOAA Kp up to 4). Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions are expected for the next 48 hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 064, based on 19 stations.
