Bulletin

Solar activity was low with just a couple of low C class flares. The largest event was a C1.8 flare peaking at 10:50 UT from NOAA region 2277. New spot emergence was observed in the intermediate region of NOAA 2277. Flaring at C level is expected. No Earth directed CMEs have been recorded. Solar wind speed was in the 370 to 470 km/s range. The total magnetic field was roughly in the 6 to 8 nT range with Bz going through a period of consistently negative values below -7 nT between 6:00 UT and 9:30 UT. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled (NOAA Kp 0-3, local K Dourbes 0-2). Similar solar wind conditions and quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions are expected to continue with.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 053, based on 10 stations.
