Solar activity has been low, only a C1.4 flare from NOAA AR 2371 peaking at 11:03 UT. This AR is decaying, but will likely produce more C-class and, less likely, M-class flares. 10 MeV protons are at the 10 pfu threshold. The CME from June 25 arrived at 02:20 UT to ACE, it was probably combined with the effects of a fast speed stream from a northern coronal hole. Solar wind speeds reached 900 km/s and interplanetary magnetic field magnitudes went up to 15 nT. Geomagnetic conditions have been only at unsettled levels due to a mostly northward oriented Bz. The situation may change in the coming hours and reach storm conditions during the course of the day.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 016, based on 16 stations.
