The only reported flare, during last 24 hours, was B1.3 flare (peaked at 17:12 UT on April 28) which originated from the Catania sunspot group 18 (NOAA AR 2653). We expect solar activity to remain on the same level, with only occasional low B-class flares. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed and the solar protons remained at background level in the past 24 hours. The solar wind speed is presently about 400 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is 5nT. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet and we expect them to remain so in the coming hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 034, based on 23 stations.
