Bulletin

The solar activity remained quiet over the past 24 hours. The visible solar disc is spotless and no flare has been recorded. Quiet flaring conditions are expected for the next 24-hour period.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejection has been observed. The greater than 10 MeV solar protons flux remained at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so.

The solar wind speed has continued to gradually decrease from 380 km/s to 320 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude remained below 4.5 nT, and the Bz component fluctuated between -3 and 3 nT. Enhancements of the solar wind conditions are expected when the high speed solar wind stream associated with the coronal hole (that transited the central meridian on Dec, 8) reaches Earth by Dec 11.

The geomagnetic conditions were quiet. The geomagnetic activity is expected to be quiet for the next following day until the arrival of the high speed stream on Dec 11.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 06 stations.
