Solar activity was at very low levels. The Sun is spotless. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels.
Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.
Solar wind speed declined from about 450 km/s to values just above 350 km/s. Bz varied between -4 and +3 nT (DSCOVR). The interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) was mostly directed towards the Sun, with some brief positive (away) periods.
The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels. Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions are expected, with an active episode possible from the moderate speed wind streams associated with the CHs observed earlier this week.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 11 stations.
