There are two active regions on the disc, NOAA AR 2706 and 2707. No C-class flares in past 24 h, NOAA AR 2706 has a beta magnetic field configuration and is capable of C-class flaring.
No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 hours.
The solar wind speed at L1 is at 420 km /s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 5 nT. Geomagnetic conditions are quiet and expected to remain so for the next 48h. The southern extension of the northern polar coronal hole traversed central meridian yesterday, its associated high speed solar wind may arrive to the Earth in 2-3 days.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 022, based on 24 stations.
