There is one active region on the disc, NOAA AR 2706 with beta magnetic field configuration. No C-class flares in past 24 h, but they remain possible.
No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 h.
The solar wind speed at L1 is at 350 km /s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 5 nT. Geomagnetic conditions are quiet, the fast solar wind related to the southern extension of the northern polar coronal hole can affect the Earth in about 24 h and cause active geomagnetic conditions (although it may pass north of the Earth).
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 017, based on 22 stations.
