There is one active region on the disc, NOAA AR 2706 that decayed from beta to alpha magnetic field configuration. No C-class flares in past 24 h and the situation is not expected to change.
No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 h.
The solar wind speed at L1 is at 390 km /s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 6 nT. Geomagnetic conditions are quiet and expected to remain so. The high speed stream from the southern extension of the northern polar coronal hole can still arrive today (and provoke isolated active geomagnetic conditions), although it may pass north of the Earth without affecting it.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 015, based on 13 stations.
