Bulletin

Solar activity remained at very low levels. The visible solar disk was immaculate. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed during the period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values.

Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

Solar wind speed varied between 325 and 350 km/s (DSCOVR). The direction of the interplanetary magnetic field (phi angle) was predominately towards the Sun (negative sector), turning away from the Sun around 10UT. Bz ranged between -5 and +5 nT, turning persistently negative after 09:30UT, and reaching -6 nT. Quiet geomagnetic conditions were observed.

Geomagnetic activity is expected to be at active to minor storming levels in response to the passage of the co-rotating interaction region and the high speed wind stream associated with the positive polarity equatorial coronal hole.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 18 stations.
