Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. The Sun was spotless for the 13th consecutive day (SILSO). No coronal mass ejections (CME) were observed over the last 24 hours. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values.

Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

Solar wind speed varied between 300 and 360 km/s, ending the period near 320 km/s. Bz varied between -3 and +3 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field was directed towards the Sun (negative sector). Quiet geomagnetic conditions were observed, with an unsettled episode (12-15UT) recorded at Dourbes.

Mostly quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected until the arrival of the wind stream from the extension of the positive polarity northern polar coronal hole late on 11 or on 12 June. Active conditions are then possible, with a small chance on a minor storming episode.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 22 stations.
