Solar activity has been very low, no flares in the past 24 h. NOAA AR 12748 no longer has any visible spots. Solar activity is expected to remain very low.
No Earth directed CMEs in past 24 h. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 hours.
The solar wind speed is at 470 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 6 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between 1 and 3 (both for Kp and K Dourbes). A negative polarity coronal hole in the southern hemisphere crossed central meridian on September 3. Its associated fast solar wind is expected to arrive to the Earth around September 7. Mostly quiet geomagnetic conditions expected until then.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 24 stations.
