Bulletin

Solar flaring activity was at very low levels. No significant flares have been recorded. Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraphic imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to stay at nominal levels for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2MeV electron flux was between nominal and moderate levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so for the next 24 hours.

The solar wind speed near Earth had been decreasing over the past 24 hours, but started to increase at 11:30 UT. The solar wind speed values were ranging between 350 and 440 km/s (DSCOVR). The Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) was predominantly oriented towards the Sun (phi angle in the negative sector) with the magnitude varying between 1 and 8 nT. Bz ranged between -5 and +5 nT. The solar wind associated with an extension to the southern polar coronal hole, which began to cross the central meridian on Mar 26, is expected to affect Earth later today and on Mar 31.

Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions were registered for the past 24 hours (K Dourbes and NOAA Kp recorded values 0-3). Unsettled to active (K Dourbes = 4) geomagnetic conditions are expected for the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 11 stations.
