Bulletin

The Sun was spotless. Solar activity was at very low levels and is expected to remain so.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was above the 1000 pfu alert threshold for the entire period, reaching a maximum of 5373 pfu at 15:30UT. Electron flux and 24h-fluence are expected to remain at moderate levels.

No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery.

Solar wind was at nominal levels. Solar wind speed varied between 340 and 400 km/s (DSCOVR). Bz was mostly negative, varying between -4 and +2 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field (phi angle) was predominantly directed away from the Sun (positive sector).

Geomagnetic activity was at quiet levels, with an unsettled episode recorded by Dourbes during the 21-24UT interval. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be mostly quiet.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 19 stations.
