Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. The Catania sunspot group 71 has decayed into a plage and currently there are no active regions on the visible solar disc. Over the past 24 hours the flaring activity was low and it is expected to remain low in the next 24 hours.

No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were detected in the available coronagraph imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2MeV electron flux remained under the 1000 pfu threshold and is expected to remain so in the next 72 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at normal levels and is expected to remain so in the next 72 hours.

Over the past 24 hours the solar wind conditions (ACE and DSCOVR) recovered from the influence of the HSS effecting the Earth since Feb 6th and returned back to background slow solar wind. The total magnetic field varied between 0.4 nT an 5.8 nT with Bz component weakly varying between -4.8 nT and 4.4 nT. The solar wind speed covered the range of 440 km/s to 320 km/s.

The geomagnetic conditions over the past 24 hours were quiet conditions. Quiet conditions are expected for the next 72 hours. After that unsettled to active conditions can be expected with the arrival of the HSS related to a patchy extension of the southern polar coronal hole which crossed the central meridian today.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 19 stations.
