Bulletin

Solar activity has been low over the past 24 hours. Catania region 7 (NOAA AR 12833) is about to rotate off disk. The northern and southern plage regions are present on the eastern hemisphere, while a new active region (possibly beta-gamma configuration although not yet clear), has appeared SW. The solar activity is expected to remain at low levels, with a change of C class flares over the next 24 hours.

No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections have been confirmed in the available coronagraphic imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was below the 1000 pfu threshold in the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so during the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at normal levels in the last 24 hours and is expected to stay at normal levels for the next 24 hours.

The solar wind speed slightly increased, reaching 430 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength had values between 2 and 11 nT, while its Bz component varied between -10 and 7 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field phi angle varied, being mainly in the positive sector (directed away from the Sun) from early June 25th. Over the next 24 hours, solar wind condition can be expected to be at about those levels.

Geomagnetic conditions were at quiet to unsettled levels (NOAA Kp and K Dourbes 1-3) over the past 24 hours. They are expected to remain at about those levels over the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 023, based on 16 stations.
