Bulletin

Two active regions visible on the Sun (alpha magnetic field configuration). There have been no C-class flares in the past 24 hours, no changes are expected in the next 24 hours.

No Earth directed CMEs have been observed in coronagraph data.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron fluence was at normal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at normal levels in the next 24 hours.

The solar wind speed as registered by DSCOVR is around 510 km/s. The Interplanetary Magnetic Field near Earth (IMF) was oriented towards the Sun and its magnitude is about 4 nT. There were no extended intervals with Bz below -5 nT. The solar wind speed is expected to decrease in the next 24 hours. There are a couple of small coronal holes traversing the central meridian, so speeds may go back up in about 48 hours.

Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions (K-BEL between 1 and 3, Kp between 1 and 2) were registered in the past 24 hours. Similar conditions are expected for the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 032, based on 11 stations.
