Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

B. Proton Events
A greater than 10 MeV proton event began at 22/0440 UTC and is still in progress. The tentative maximum for this event has been 36 pfu at 22/0940 UTC. A greater than 100 MeV event began at 22/0340 UTC, reaching a maximum of 1 pfu at 22/0510 UTC and ended at 22/0615 UTC.
