Current flaring activity at the Sun is low, with a C4.3 flare being the main event in the past 24 hours. Catiana region 19 (NOAA AR1698) responsible for this flare is rotating behind the west limb. An isolated C-class flare is possible, but an M-flare is unlikely.
The solar wind speed near the Earth currently is low (around 450 km/s) and the interplanetary magnetic field is at 8 nT. We expect quiet geomagnetic conditions in the next 48 hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 051, based on 09 stations.
