Flaring activity of the last few hours mainly originated from active region NOAA 1692, which is at the west limb now. The largest solar flare was an M1.6 flare which occurred at 21 March 22h UT. A CME was associated with this flare, visible in LASCO as well as in STEREO A and B. The CME seems to propagate to the west. At most we expect a glancing blow of this CME to arrive at Earth. We are currently under influence of a slow solar wind with a speed varying between 350 and 450 km/s and an interplanetary magnetic field with a magnitude of 6 nT. Geomagnetic conditions are quiet and are expected to remain so for the next 48 hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 033, based on 10 stations.
