A long duration C1.5-flare occurred yesterday evening (Oct 2, 23:29 UT) from behind the Solar North-West limb. The event triggered a CME, which is not Earth directed. We forecast a 50% chance for continued C-class flaring, this time from NOAA AR 1855 and AR 1856. The proton flux levels have dropped below event threshold. Quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 047, based on 16 stations.
