Bulletin

Solar activity was low. A single C flare was reported from NOAA region 2349 (now plage). The C1.2 flare peaked at 7:06UT. All current regions on disk have fairly simple configuration. Quiet conditions are expected with an occasional C flare possible. Yesterdays C1.6 flare did not seem to have any significant CME associated. No Earth directed CME's have been detected in the available coronagraph images. Solar wind conditions reflected the decline of the high speed stream influence with current conditions near nominal. Solar wind speed dropped from around 480 km/s to around 400 km/s. Total magnetic field was below 7nT and currently around 5.5 nT. Bz was mostly negative but remaining above -3.5 nT. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet (NOAA Kp 0-2, while the local Dourbes station currently out of service). Nominal solar wind conditions and associated quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 036, based on 17 stations.
