Solar activity has been very low. One C1.1 flare with peak at 06:19 UT from NOAA AR 2513. A partial halo CME with angular width of 130 degrees was first seen leaving the Sun at 00:12 UT by LASCO-C2 (after a data gap). This CME is most probably backsided (no clear source seen on the visible disc, but there's a gap in STEREO data to confirm a backsided source) and won't affect the Earth. A high speed stream caused a geomagnetic storm on March 11 (Kp reached 6 and the local K at Dourbes 5). Solar wind speed is descending now (currently at 500 km/s, with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude at 5 nT) and mostly unsettled conditions should be expected in the next 24h.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 061, based on 18 stations.
