The Sun has not produced any noteworthy activity for a few days already. The background level of the X-ray flux has further decreased. The solar disk is currently spotless and no Earth-directed CMEs were observed. The chance for C-class flares remains low.
Earth is currently inside a slow solar wind regime (speed near 300 km/s and magnetic field magnitude below 5 nT). Geomagnetic conditions are quiet and are expected to remain so till the onset of a co-rotating interaction region and the high speed stream from an equatorial coronal hole (CH) disturb the solar wind. Geomagnetic conditions up to minor storm levels (K=5) can occur from June 5 on.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 08 stations.
